Education
We care for every child, we believe in his potential and we hope in his future
We are committed to the education of vulnerable children by identifying those who have dropped out of school and actively encouraging them to return.
Batwa children, in particular, often leave school halfway through, and in many cases, never attend at all.
Our Purpose

Back to school
Due to lack of financial means, many children drop out of school because their parents cannot afford to provide them with the necessary school supplies. Through its "Back to School" program, LHI encourages these children to return to school and continue their education.

Home assistance
LHI has hired professional teachers to strengthen children's academic skills. These educators provide regular follow-up at school to monitor the students' progress and also assist them at home with their homework.

Accommodation
After completing primary education, children are often placed in post-primary schools located far from their families. This stage is particularly critical, as many children are at risk of dropping out. To support them, LHI rents houses that serve as "Homes", providing a safe and stable living environment.

“We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and build a better future, regardless of their living conditions. That is why we provide complete school kits (notebooks, pens, uniforms, backpacks, etc.) to children from underprivileged families. With this support, they can pursue their education in better conditions, without the lack of supplies being a barrier to their learning.”

Belyse GATEKA
Together, we are building a future where every child has a place on the path to knowledge and personal growth
We have set up a special Saturday class to help children. These sessions allow students who are struggling to catch up, better understand essential concepts, and progress at their own pace. Through these remedial lessons, they regain confidence and improve their academic performance.
With these initiatives, we are not only helping children access education but also supporting them in persevering and succeeding despite challenges.
