About us
Light on the Hill Initiative - LHI is a faith-based organization created to bring hope and transformation to marginalized communities. Driven by values of compassion, commitment, and service, LHI works to sustainably improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations by focusing on three essential pillars: community development, education, and health. Through concrete and lasting actions, LHI aspires to create a positive impact by promoting social inclusion, strengthening local capacities, and providing opportunities for the empowerment of often neglected populations.
Our ministries
Education
Every child deserves access to quality education — and those whose learning has been interrupted must be given the chance to continue
Development
Every person deserves a roof over their head — and families even more so. We build homes for the most vulnerable families, offering them a safe, dignified, and stable place to live.
Health
Everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. We are committed to promoting community health by making essential medical services accessible to all — especially the most vulnerable.

We believe that Jesus is the reason we do what we do. He is the foundation and the one that enables us because he gives us strength (Philippians 4:13). We have to lead as He did through teaching, showing mercy, and serving others.
- Stewardship
We have to be responsible and do everything transparently with finances, human, and natural resources (1 Corinthians 4:2)
- Integrity
We are always honest with everything and everyone, and also keep true to our words (Proverbs 10:9)
- Compassion
We have to show kindness, caring, and willingness to help others (Matthew 14:14)
- Respect and Safety
We value and honor one another in what we do and have done and we value safety in all our communication and privacy for the people that we work with (Acts 10:34-35)
- Excellence

We prefer showing people what we believe instead of telling them as this is the best testimony. It’s not what we say to others, it’s how we live our lives. If we want people to change, we start from ourselves (Titus 2:7-8)
